Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3

It is our fundamental right as parents to educate our children according to the dictates of our conscience. It is beneficial to our children’s academic and social maturing to have family, community and faith based resources.

The purpose of Bolton Educational Co-op is to meet the needs of Parents, Grandparents and Caregivers of school age children in our community. This Co-op is an association of public, private and independent students organized for the purpose of assisting and encouraging each other as they pursue a successful education. To close the achievement gap for public, private or independent students by providing the tools necessary for successful social, emotional and academic development in a safe and healthy environment. This can be accomplished by uniting the community in a cooperative and flexible environment. Mentorship and tutoring and co-teaching provides interaction with a diverse group of ages and cultures that helps to build strong adults and communities.

The Co-op will facilitate opportunities that may help reach students that are underserved by regular school time programs and reduce summer learning loss, which is a huge contributor to the learning achievement gap.

Provide a Project-Based Learning approach that emphasizes the application of knowledge rather than fact recall. For example, students might learn about force, velocity, acceleration and Newton’s laws while exploring the answer to the question “Why should I wear a helmet when I ride my bike?” Learning this way retains content longer and provides a more nuanced understanding of the subjects.
Career and Technical Education programs incorporate a variety of practical skills integrated with classroom instruction to prepare students for focused career paths.
