SCHEDULE OF OPERATIONS v2.1

Normal Daily Schedule of Operation

Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

*Note that in the event of inclement weather, illness or other circumstances that this can be changed. Please see the online schedule for current changes and additions to schedule at boltonecs.org

 

Leadership Team Member (LTM) On Duty

A Leadership Team member will be on site during all daily scheduled times. The LTM On Duty schedule will be posted online at boltoncs.org and on location.

LTM On Duty is responsible for overseeing and the daily operations of the co-op to include daily activities, scheduling, conduct issues, clean-up, and required opening and closing procedures. The LTM On Duty will communicate all daily co-op business per guidelines, policies and procedures set forth by the Leadership Team.

 

Volunteer Schedule 

Parents/Volunteers can schedule themselves to be available for tutoring, homework/assignment help, classroom monitor, hall monitor, etc.; as needed. 

 

Definitions for Scheduling Time

These events will be scheduled in specific locations (main class, break out room or gym) depending on the group, time of day, and event; to allow for individuals to work quietly and not disturb other students.

  • Prayer, Word of the week: Starting each day off with time speaking to God and learning a verse each week.
  • Pledge to the American Flag, Pledge to the Christian Flag, Pledge to the Bible, and Daily Prayer Quote.
  • Time on Task: This is a period of time for academics.
  • Team Share: This is a time for each student to share what they are learning and discuss their challenges with peers and educators. This time encourages students and helps with personal accountability.
  • Game Time: This breaks up the time on task and allows the students to move from their desks to a group(s) setting. Games can be used to reinforce academic and social skills.
  • Lunch / Free Time: This is an extended period of time for Lunch and any catch-up academics. 
  • Gym Time: For PE, hand/eye/motor coordination, social and fun.
  • Student Clean Up Time: This enables students to take ownership and pride in their school. It teaches responsibility and teamwork. Participation will be recorded and rewarded.

Main Class Schedule 

Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

*In order to allow the flexibility of utilizing multiple curriculums and objectives, all students using the main classroom between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. must work individually and quietly so as not to disturb the other students. (Except for scheduled events/times for group activity.)

 

Break Out Room - as scheduled (STEAM)

A separate schedule is created for the Break Out Room to allow for single or multiple student use. It can be scheduled for use at any time during the normal daily schedule. It can also be used for private student consultation and testing.

Ad-Hoc Scheduled Classes and Activities

Members and volunteers can schedule ad-hoc classes and reserve rooms through the online schedule, but must be approved by a Leadership Team member. Please allow 24 hours for approval.

A Leadership Team member must be on site during any scheduled classes or activities.

Any ad-hoc scheduled class or activity must have a clean-up completed immediately following the event or that event will not be allowed for future use.

 

Church related or scheduled events 

Bolton Educational Co-op participants will be mindful of events that are occurring during any regular or ad-hoc scheduled times as this is a multi-use facility.
